Bill Dentinger Jr., co-founder of Bill Dentinger, Inc.

The Dentinger family has been active in the masonry industry for decades. Bill Dentinger, Jr. returned from the navy in the early 1960’s to work for his uncle’s masonry business (Superior Masonry) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After being baptized into the industry through years of rewarding, hard work, Bill and Shirley decided to take a leap of faith and start their own masonry business and Bill Dentinger, Inc. was born.

The “ma & pa” shop grew and so did their reputation for quality work. Many of the finest masonry projects in the Greater Milwaukee area were built by Bill Dentinger, Inc. crews. Through all of their years in business they remained active in the stewardship of the masonry industry both locally and nationally. Bill Dentinger, Jr. has a seemingly endless record of positions within the Mason Contractors Association of Milwaukee, Mason Contractors Association of America, and the Associated General Contractors of Greater Milwaukee.

Galtier Plaza twin tower high-rise project in downtown St. Paul

In 1984 Bill Dentinger, Inc. opened a satellite office in St. Paul, Minnesota to work on a twin tower high-rise project in downtown St. Paul. Sons Bill and Dick eventually moved to Minnesota and the company began to build a reputation in the Minneapolis and St. Paul metro area. As Bill and Shirley began to wind down their operations in preparations to retire, we formerly ‘spun-off’ Bill Dentinger, Inc.’s Minnesota operations into another generation of a Dentinger family masonry business. In 2004 this new company was formed as B&D Associates, Inc.

We continue to focus on Brick, Block and Stone work on Commercial, Institutional and Industrial projects. Whether a one day job or a multi-million dollar contract on a major downtown project, we continue to strive to meet the reputation that our family has met since the 1960’s.
